25 may 2009The Hague Netherlands, 24 May 2009 – Trust Factory have developed a new method for visualizing large and complex IBM Lotus Notes and Domino environments, helping customers to focus on cost reductions and performance gains.
Trust Factory’s service product DNA Network Analysis, gives customers an immediate in-depth understanding of large and distributed IBM Lotus Domino environments. The new feature – named COST Minder – visualizes hidden cost drivers and resource consumers in large distributed Domino environments, enabling customers to effectively address their needs to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
Over the past years, Trust Factory have built up a data warehouse that contains detailed statistics about the behavior and attributes of millions of databases and corporate end users from companies all over the world. The in-depth knowledge inside the DNA warehouse give Trust Factory and their reseller IBM a competetive advantage in helping customers to reduce cost and increase efficiency.

COST Minder not only solves the quest for understanding complex Domino environments, it also provides unique and unprecedented benchmarking capabilities in comparing key performance indicators between customers. He continues: “Visualizing the activities of twelve thousand end users on 40+ thousand databases during an entire week, is exceptional. But what’s perhaps even more important is that everyone immediately understands the outcomes - even non-technical people.
Inspired by the Trendalyer software developed by Hans Rosling, Professor of International Health at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm - Sweden, Trust Factory’s COST Minder uses complex statistical methods such as cluster analysis to identify and group vast numbers of systems, end users and databases into similar attitudinal or behavioral types.
According to Erik J.A. Vos who leads Trust Factory’s research and development, COST Minder is a good example of how scientific research combined with the day-to-day reality of our customers can produce revolutionary outcomes. “When COST Minder came with its first results, we were very excited. I’m sure you’ll understand that these past weeks were the most inspiring in my entire professional career”, according to Erik, who holds a Masters degree in High Voltage Engineering at the technical University of Delft and joined Trust Factory in January 2007.
